WHO WE ARE
The Defenders LEMC Motorcycle Club, Inc. was founded in2004 as an independent, non-profit social club. It was established to provide the opportunity for increased camaraderie between current and retired law enforcement officers, military personnel and selected citizenry, who enjoy riding motorcycles and attending motorcycle related events. The "Defenders Motorcycle Club", chapters across America is, one club, and shall be governed by and subject to the authority of the National Executive Board. This is the Boston Chapter website.
Donny Yeaton, a longtime employee of the Town of Danvers DPW was involved in a serious crash while riding his motorcycle on July 15th. Donny suffered a leg amputation and will face a lengthy recovery.
The Defenders participated in this ride. One of the main persons involved in the creation of this ride was Boston Defenders Treasurer, Kevin Wood.
NEMLEC and other local agencies provided traffic protection during this ride and as usual did a great job. The day was beautiful and the ride was safe.
The mission of the Special Olympics is to provide year round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
The Boston Chapter Defenders donated $4000 to CONCERNS OF POLICE SURVIVORS, $1000 to the MASSACHUSETTS SPECIAL OLYPICS, and $1000 to COPS FOR KIDS WITH CANCER. We challenge you to log on and make your personal donation!
